For walkers, you're just 100 metres to the Red Hill-Merricks trailhead, minutes from the Two Bays Trail, Greens Bush and Cape Schanck Light Station.

… Watch the top of the trees to pick your beach! Blowing North/north west? –you're only minutes to Point Leo, Shoreham, Merricks, and Flinders. Blowing south east? - the Port Phillip Bay beaches of Dromana, Safety Beach and McCrae are also just minutes away.

King Louie's Cottage is walking distance to the Red Hill Market (1st Saturday of the month Sept-May), The Long Table restaurant, The Epicurean restaurant, the Red Hill Bakery, Red Hill Cellar and pantry, cafes and several galleries - including Michael Leeworthy's Studio, Gallery 775.

Red Hill Brewery is just a couple of kms towards Shoreham, and just a little further down the road are Tucks Ridge, Montalto and Red Hill Estate wineries. Red Hill Cheese is a couple of minutes away and Mornington Peninsula Chocolates is a wonderful discovery.

You don't have to touch your car after arrival - use Christine Gregory's Your Shuttle to and from local restaurants and attractions ... and tell her King Louie sent you!

A day out picking your own fruit at Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farm or Ellisfield Farm is a popular city getaway activity, so too a drive around the many farm gate sales of the area.

- and you can bring it all back to King Louie's Cubby for a grand cook-up with great wines!
